About the Staff
Dan Hartsock began his career in higher education at Lycoming College in 1981 as a writing instructor with the English Department. When the college opened its Writing Center in 1985, Dan assumed responsibility for its operations. Over time the Writing Center expanded its services to include tutoring in the content areas, study groups, study skills instruction, disability support and related activities. The Academic Resource Center was then created to house all of these services. Currently, Dan manages the study skills and disability support programs.
In addition to his duties as the Director of the ARC, Dan is the Director of Academic Advising (since 1987) and the Assistant Dean for Sophomores (since 1997).
