Houston Area Inaugural Gathering, April 12, 2008
Over 140 Lycoming alumni live in the state of Texas. And nearly 900 Lycoming alumni live in the Baltimore/D.C. metro area. Under the leadership of Jeff Reddall '81 and Melany McGillvray '07, regional chapters of the Lycoming College Alumni Association have been formed in these areas. The Texas Regional Chapter is the first in the state. The Washington Baltimore Metropolitan Area Regional Chapter is a re-formation of an earlier organization that experienced a hiatus of several years. Both Jeff and Melany recognized that establishing, maintaining, and nurturing relationships among these regional groups would result in invaluable benefits to both alumni and Lycoming College. The foremost goals of regional chapters are to provide a means by which Lycoming alumni can reconnect with each other and the College, and support Lycoming and its current and prospective students.
