"The transition from Lycoming College to the University of Cincinnati was big, but not difficult. Lycoming College prepared me in a number of ways. As an Art History major and Painting minor, the rigor of Lycoming's coursework and studio classes prepared me for the demands of a masters program. I really appreciated the availability of all my professors while at Lycoming College. Even after graduation, my professors were happy to meet with me and offer advice and assistance when it came down to grad school applications. While at Lycoming College I also had the opportunity to apprentice a local mural artist, gaining tremendous experience, which I would not have pursued if it weren't for the encouragement of my professors. At Lyco, I took advantage of the study abroad program to practice my Spanish in Salamanca, Spain. As a member of Lycoming's soccer team I also traveled abroad to Argentina. Through these experiences I learned to value the diversity of other cultures and realize the importance of learning languages. Lycoming College not only allowed me to get involved on campus and in the classroom but also provided me with numerous opportunities that launched me on my current career path."
