Health care administration
Are you interested in health care, but don't want to pursue medical school? Health care is one of the fastest growing sectors of our economy and it's not only for doctors and nurses. There are several different business careers in health care - everything from human resource representatives, financial officers and public relations experts to CEOs. Starting salaries can range from $40,000 to to $85,000, depending on job title and position. Senior level positions earn as much as $250,000 each year.
We've partnered with the three campuses of the Susquehanna Health System, one of the nation's top 100 hospitals, to give you a variety of relevant internship opportunities. In addition to the courses taught by our faculty, senior executives from Susquehanna Health serve as instructors and frequent guest lectures. One such executive is Steven P. Johnson, Susquehanna Health's President & CEO and a 1976 Lycoming graduate.
In addition to the business core courses, you also have to complete the following courses to finish the Health Care Administration Track:
- Health Care Administration (BUS 222)
- Two courses from:
**NOTE: Only one of these three can be from BUS 439, BUS 470-479 and ECON 349 (Health Care Administration or related field)
