SunnyBrook Meadows
Sunny Brook is seeking volunteers to assist with riding lessons, stable and property projects, events, and fundraising. Volunteers for riding are needed Tuesday and Thursday from 4:00pm to 8:00pm and Friday from 9:00am to 12:00pm. Community Alliance for Progressive Positive Action (CAPPA)
Beginning in October and continuing every Saturday throughout the year, mentors and tutors are needed to help younger students with academic work at Cochran Elementary School from 10:00am to 3:00pm. Office of Aging
The Office of Aging is looking for volunteers to help with their Meals on Wheels Program Monday through Friday from 10:30am to 12:00pm. For more information, contact Michelle Koons at 570-323-3096.
The Office of Aging also runs the Ombudsman long-term care program. Volunteers would be required to complete one day of training. They would then be assigned to visit a home in the area to visit and advocate for residents. For more information, contact Michelle Koons at 570-323-3096.
Advancing Communities by Educating and Serving (ACES)
If you are interested in making a difference in the world, then ACES may be for you. Most of their activities center on projects in the Dominican Republic where the Dominican version of this organization does on-the-ground work directly with people. We here in PA are the fundraisers for their endeavors. American Rescue Workers

United Churches - Center Food Pantry
The United Churches and Center City Food Pantry is currently looking for volunteers to assist in helping to hand out food to those who need it most. If you are interested in making a donation, items currently needed are: canned fruits, sugar, saltine crackers, coffee, noodles, cocoa mix, powdered drink mixes (Kool Aid and lemonade), chunky soups, stove top stuffing, and canned vegetables (especially stewed tomatoes).
