Lycoming College invites applications for a full-time tenure track Assistant Professor position in the area of applied mathematics to begin in the fall of 2014. We seek a candidate to teach, as part of their standard 3 classes per semester load, courses for nonmajors, courses in the calculus sequence, introductory computer science, and advanced courses in applied mathematics, e.g. differential equations, numerical analysis, operations research, and/or a new course in the candidate’s area of applied mathematics.
Required Experience & Qualifications:
Ph.D. in mathematics is required, but ABDs near their final stage of completion will be considered. Strong commitment to teaching is essential. Professional activity and service to the college are also required for tenure and promotion.
