Music Learning Goals
Students who major in music can expect to achieve the following learning goals:
- Perform proficiently on one instrument (or voice) such that they can perform respectably in public
- Perform proficiently on the piano
- Collaborate with faculty and peers to perform music publicly
- Identify, analyze, and discuss the structural elements of music both verbally and in writing
- Identify, understand, and communicate ideas relevant to the historical aspects of music both verbally and in writing
