Halloween Spectacular fills Community Arts Center with spooky, family-friendly music

Join Lycoming College Community Orchestra at the beautiful Community Arts Center in downtown Williamsport for an evening of trick-or-treating and musical fun for the whole family! The College’s Halloween Spectacular is slated for Saturday, Oct. 28, and is free and open to the public.

Attendees are encouraged to come in costume in a celebration of the beloved holiday. Trick-or-treating begins at 6:30 p.m. and will be led by multiple Lycoming College student organizations, including:

  • Latin American Student Organization
  • UNICEF
  • American Foundation for Suicide Prevention
  • Lycourier
  • Creative Arts Society 
  • Spanish Club
  • Circle K
  • Sign Language
  • WRLC Radio Club
  • Disciple Makers
  • Multicultural Awareness Group
  • Gender and Sexuality Alliance
  • It's On Us

The Lycoming College Community Orchestra concert starts at 7 p.m., and will feature seasonally spooky music paired with visual media and some pieces that will inspire kids and parents alike to sing along, including "Tubby the Tuba," performed by soloists J.C. Sherman on tuba and Patrick Intallura as the narrator. Other musical selections include:

  • “Goodnight Moon,” performed by soloist Sarah Decker, soprano
  • “Pink Panther”
  • Selections from “Frozen”
  • “This is Halloween”
  • “Danse Macabre”
  • “Funeral March of a Marionette”
  • “Raiders March”

“It is a true pleasure for us to be able to provide a family friendly classical musical concert,” said William Ciabattari, associate professor of music and chair of the department at Lycoming College.
