Religion: Adjunct Instructor
Archaeology and Culture of the Ancient Near East: Adjunct Instructor of Latin
I joined the staff at Lycoming in the fall of 2005 to restore Latin to the college curriculum. At the time I was a full time employee of the Milton Area School District. I began teaching one course of Latin per semester offered in the early evening. In June of 2009, I retired from Milton having taught Latin there for 34 years. I have adjusted my schedule to teach two courses of Latin per semester during traditional college hours. In the pursuit of classical studies, I have traveled to Italy, Greece, Egypt and England. On four separate occasions I have acted as a tour leader for student groups.
I am a native of the Philadelphia area, Drexel Hill to be exact. My wife Sandra is the Latin teacher in the Danville Area School District. We met in Latin class at Millersville University. We have a son Scott, who is a CPA. He is married and living in London with his wife Sarah, who is working in the field of art preservation and restoration. My interests include hunting, fishing, bowling and travel. My trips to Australia and Alaska were outstanding. On Friday nights in the fall as the film coach, I enjoy videotaping the high school football games for Milton.
