Economics: Visiting Instructor
Dr. Sabri Yilmaz is a visiting instructor of Economics. He received a Ph.D. in Economics from Southern Illinois University Carbondale in May 2012. He also holds an M.A. in Economics and M.S. in Applied Mathematics from the University of Missouri. His Bachelor's degree is in Mathematics from Marmara University, Istanbul in Turkey.
Prior to Lycoming College, he served as a Term Faculty in the Department of Business Education at John A. Logan College in Carterville, IL for more than a year. Besides, he taught Economics of Contemporary Social Issues and Introduction to Macroeconomics at Southern Illinois University Carbondale as an Instructor of Economics and Finite Mathematics (for Economics, Business and Social Sciences) and College Algebra at the University of Missouri as an Instructor of Mathematics for several years. Moreover, he worked as a graduate teaching assistant at Southern Illinois University, the University of Missouri and Istanbul Technical University.
His main research interest areas are Game Theory, Microeconomics, Economic Development and Trade. Recently, he has been working specifically on trade network applications on real estate markets and the pricing strategy of housing. He has several collaborative papers on application of network games published, accepted for publication or in preparation. He likes to collaborate with the other academicians in Economics, Business, Engineering or any other applicable fields or majors.
