Activities at Lycoming: Neuroscience research assistant for Dr. Morrison and a member of the Lycoming College chapter of Advancing Communities by Educating and Serving club.

Hometown: Montclair, N.J.

High School: Montclair High School

Most Influential Professor: Dr. Mary E. Morrison has influenced me the most because she encouraged me to work harder and always ask questions.

Favorite Part of Class:  My favorite part of class is somewhere in the middle of the lecture period, after new material has been introduced and the lecture has turned into a conversation between the students and professor.  I love the interactions I have with my professors because it motivates me to work harder in order to impress both myself and my professor with my finished project.  Before I began my studies at Lycoming, I'd never felt such a personal benefit from what I'm learning in class than I do now.

Favorite Campus Club: My favorite club at Lycoming is LACES because I have the opportunity to assist others through volunteer work.  This past spring break, I went with four other members of LACES to the Dominican Republic to distribute donations and assist various plantations and schools.  It was one of the most rewarding experiences I’ve ever had and I discovered a passion for service work.  I am excited to watch this club grow and take more students on such an incredible journey!

Advice for students:  Do one thing every day that scares you. Whether it's asking a question, meeting a stranger, or learning a new language, always venture outside your comfort zone.  Make a habit of exploring and you’ll amaze yourself with the opportunities and adventures that unfold before you.
