Most Influential Professor: Dr. Kulp influenced me with the research I have been doing with him the past year.  We've been working on a project looking for simple models of combustion and just that ability and introduction to how research is really done stuck with me.  Also, he's a very approachable guy and is always happy to help when you're stuck on a difficult problem.

Favorite Part of Class: My favorite part of class is when we finish discussing an example. The examples can make your head spin until all of the sudden it ends. After it's finished, it’s like a moment of clarity and that alone is one of the most rewarding feelings.

Favorite Campus Event: I'd have to say the campus concert every year.  It's always an exciting time and they usually manage to bring in someone pretty good to perform.

Advice for Students:  If you come in planning to major in physics, my advice would be that you have to stick with it.  Physics is hard – everyone you talk to will tell you that – but the thing is this: Nothing worthwhile is easy. If you put in the work and try your hardest, you will succeed in physics.
