Lycoming College invites the Williamsport community and surrounding areas to enjoy a free show in its Detwiler Planetarium on Friday, March 7th.

For 4.5 billion years, the Sun has powered our world, driving our weather, winds, and all life. Though called a "dwarf star," this blazing giant consumes 600 million tons of hydrogen every second! Join us for The Sun, Our Living Star, a stunning planetarium show that unveils the secrets of our nearest star. Witness breathtaking images of the Sun’s turbulent surface in an immersive fulldome experience. Don’t miss this fiery journey through the heart of our solar system!

This event is free and open to the public. To secure your spot, reserve free tickets via BigTickets https://www.bigtickets.com/events/lycoming-college-astronomy-dept/ beginning Friday, February 28th. Doors will open 15 minutes before start of each show. Please note that there will be no admittance after the show begins. You can find us at the Lynn Science Center, located on the corner of Washington Boulevard and Mulberry Street.
