City Excitement. Outdoor Paradise.
Recently named one of Pennsylvania’s “8 Underappreciated Towns to Visit” by World Atlas, Williamsport is a vibrant city overflowing with appreciation for art, culture, and the great outdoors. Located in Central Pennsylvania, our college campus is an easy foot or bike commute away from a thriving business and arts district with many dining and entertainment options such as art galleries, boutiques, a performance center, and more. The city boasts a world-class healthcare system (UPMC Susquehanna), modern manufacturing, federal offices, and energy and natural gas resources, but is best known as the birthplace of Little League Baseball.
Situated in the heart of the Susquehanna River Valley, the area is also a rich and natural landscape, offering lots of opportunities for outdoor activity, such as cycling, skiing, hiking, rock-climbing, kayaking, and more.
Williamsport is less than four hours from five major cities (Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Baltimore, New York City, and Washington, D.C.), and the College often hosts complimentary bus trips to explore bustling metropolitan areas with no fixed agenda. Lycoming is proof that you don’t need to be in a major city to build a national – and even international – reputation.
