Matching Gifts

Many companies and foundations will match the value of charitable gifts made by employees and their spouses, board members, and retirees. Check to see if your employer matches.

Give Stock

Donating appreciated stock is an easy and tax-effective way for you to make a gift to Lycoming College. Gifting stock to a charitable organization allows you to maximize your giving by avoiding the capital gains tax of selling appreciated stock. In addition, your gift qualifies for a charitable income tax deduction at the fair market value of the stock, if you itemize your deductions. Learn more.

Request transfer instructions in order to make your gift of stock by completing this form.

Give from your Donor Advised Fund (DAF)

A donor-advised fund (DAF) acts like a philanthropic savings account. It is a type of giving program that allows you to combine tax benefits with the flexibility to recommend the amount and the frequency of gifts to Lycoming College or other charities you support.

Give from your Individual Retirement Account (IRA)

If you are 70 ½ years old or greater, you can make a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) to Lycoming College directly from your Individual Retirement Account (IRA). QCDs are a tax-free gift to your favorite charity and are not realized as income for you. Once you are 73 years old, QCDs can count as all or a portion of your Required Minimum Distribution (RMD). Learn more.

Make a Planned Gift

Planned gifts offer some of our most thoughtful donors a strategic way to care for their families and Lycoming. Supporting Lycoming with a planned gift can cost you nothing today or can even provide income for you or your loved ones.

Planned giving can help you realize significant tax savings in your financial and estate planning by making a gift or bequest to Lycoming. Learn more about the features and benefits of planned giving.

Lycoming College Employee Payroll Deduction

Lycoming College employees have the ability to make a gift to the College through payroll deduction. Payroll deduction is a convenient way to support the area(s) most important to you. Employee donations also count toward percent participation, which ultimately aids the College’s ability to qualify for grant funding.

If you currently give through payroll deduction and would like to increase your gift or change the designation, please complete and submit a new form. Changes will become effective with the next payroll cycle.

Memorial Contributions

Contributions can be made to support a wide range of priorities and needs from annual gifts, naming opportunities, and endowed scholarships. We would be pleased to discuss the ways in which Lycoming College might share in honoring the lives of those who have passed away.
