The photography concentration explores traditional black-and-white, and digital photography, as well as alternative processes. Students gain experience working with 35mm, medium format, and large format film cameras; SLR and medium format digital cameras; and professional lighting equipment for both commercial and fine arts applications. Photography students can also choose to do a professional internship working in a photography studio.

Students will learn the skills necessary to pursue their interests in the field of photography, by learning the technical aspects of the medium, while developing their conceptual ideas and personal artistic style and vision.
