Constitution Day

Lycoming College entranceLycoming College is pleased to offer current and prospective students the opportunity to engage on campus with alumni and friends in the field of legal justice. Join us as we celebrate Constitution Day and the 3+3 degree program between Lycoming College and Widener University Commonwealth Law School. This day is the perfect occassion to learn about the opportunities at Lycoming for those interested in exploring law.

This is a complimentary event, but registration is required for all attendees.

Panel of Speakers

Ryan GardnerRyan Gardner '00, Moderator | Judge Garnder was elected to the court in November 2023 and assumed the bench on January 2, 2024. Judge Gardner graduated from Montoursville Area High School and received his bachelor's degree from Lycoming College in 2000. He attended Temple University School of Law, graduating with a Juris Doctor degree in 2004. He was then admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar in 2004.

Before his election to the bench, he served as Lycoming County’s District Attorney. Prior to his DA appointment, he operated a diverse private practice in Lycoming County. He currently serves on the Executive Committee of the Lycoming Law Association. He was treasurer from 2022-23 and is currently serving as president-elect.

Dudley AndersonDudley N. Anderson '68 | Judge Anderson was elected Judge of the Court of Common Pleas for Lycoming County in 1997. He was retained for an additional ten-year term in 2007. Prior to his election as Judge, he was in private practice for 22 years with the firm of Anderson and Mathers, which has an emphasis in civil law. Judge Anderson received his J.D. from Widener University and his B.A. from Lycoming College. He has been an active member of the Williamsport community, having served a term on the Williamsport City Council and service to numerous civic and charitable businesses. As a Judge, he has served two terms on the Statewide Ethics Committee for the Pennsylvania Conference of Trial Judges and is presently Vice-President of the Pennsylvania Conference of Trial Judges.   

Matt DiemerMatthew A. Diemer '17 | Diemer has been employed with Campana, Hoffa, and Morrone P.C. firm since April 2023, and licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania since May 2020. His practice is concentrated mostly in Criminal Defense, but he also zealously represents clients in custody, divorce, and protection from abuse matters. He also is a Guardian Ad Litem for Lycoming County, where he is tasked as a neutral party to represent the best interests of children in custody matters.

Diemer attended law school at the Widener University Commonwealth Law School in Harrisburg, Pa., where he was ranked in the top 10 of his class each semester and graduated cum laude. He was a member of the law review and an executive board member of the trial advocacy honor society. While in law school, he was an intern with the Lycoming County Public Defender's Office. Upon passing the bar exam, Diemer was employed by the former Callahan Gardner law firm, which ultimately transitioned into the Lovecchio Diemer Law Firm. Prior to attending law school, Diemer graduated from Lycoming College with a degree in political science, was inducted to Pi Sigma Alpha—the National Political Science Honor Society, and was a proud member and officer with the local United Steelworkers Union. 

Adrienne (Hill) StahlAdrienne (Hill) Stahl '99 | Stahl was born and raised in Lycoming County where she continues to reside with her husband and their three daughters. Stahl is a graduate of Jersey Shore Area High School and Lycoming College with a double major in criminal justice and psychology and a minor in sociology. She earned her juris doctorate from Widener University School of Law, Harrisburg. She spent the first ten years of her legal career with a local law firm, focusing in the areas of elder law, estate planning, and estate administration. She is honored to have spent the past eight years of her career in public service, employed by the Administrative Office of Pennsylvania Courts as the Lycoming County District Court Administrator.

Mary Katherine Yarnish

Mary Katherine Yarnish '17 | Yarnish is a graduate of both Lycoming College and Widener Commonwealth Law School (2020). Yarish presently serves as a Deputy Attorney General with the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General. Within this position, she represents the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, its agencies, and its officers in civil litigation filed in both state and federal courts and defends the constitutionality of Pennsylvania statutes.
