Assistant Director of Career & Professional Development
Emily is the Assistant Director of Career and Professional Development, and serves as a career advisor for the Arts and Humanities including American Studies, Archaeology, Art, Communication, Education, English, Film and Video Arts, History, Interdisciplinary Programs, International Studies, Medieval Studies, Modern Language Studies, Music, Philosophy, Political Science, Religion & Pre-Theology, and Theatre.
Emily is a graduate of Lycoming College, class of 2008, and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish with an Education Certification. She studied abroad for a semester in Spain and has a passion for traveling, other cultures and languages. Emily was a high school Spanish teacher for 15 years prior to her arrival at Lycoming College.
With her enthusiasm for teaching and helping others, Emily strives to get to know her students and use their unique interests, abilities, and skill sets to direct them towards significant opportunities and meaningful careers. She is available to aid her students with choosing a major, general career counseling, internship and job searches, resume and cover letter development, and applying to graduate school.
Outside of this role, Emily also enjoys sports and physical fitness, the outdoors, a good book, arts and crafts (when time permits), traveling, and spending time with her family.
