The Relaxation Room
Description
The Relaxation Room is on the first floor of the library across from the side stairwell on the building's north side. The following items are available in the room to help users relax:
- A massage chair.
- TV with a restricted version of YouTube that is available to watch relaxing videos.
- A lamp with colorful and natural light options.
- Vine lights with adjustable settings.
- A sensory sea lamp.
- Plushies.
- Prayer mat and beads.
- Floor cushions.
- Plush chair.
Policies
- The room opens at the same time as the library and closes 15 minutes before the library closes.
- All members of the Lycoming College community (students, faculty, and staff) are welcome to use the room.
- The Relaxation Room is a study-free zone. Please use this room to relax and not as a meeting or study space.
- A maximum of three people is allowed in the room at one time.
- The room is available on a first come, first served basis unless someone has made a reservation. Users must respect others' reservations of the room.
- When using the TV, please keep it at a low volume so as not to disturb others.
- Keep the space clean by disposing of personal garbage and recycling.
- Care for the room, and the items within it, to preserve them for future use.
Scheduling Policies
- Reservations are not required. Users may make a reservation to ensure they can use the space at a desired time via the Relaxation Room Bookings page.
- Reservation blocks are available in 30-minute periods.
- Users must make a reservation at least 1 hour in advance.
- Each person is limited to making one back-to-back reservation per day (for one 1-hour reservation).
- Users are limited to making 10 reservations per week.
- If users exceed the daily and/or weekly reservation limits, their latest scheduled reservation will be canceled.
