In response to the Warrior Strong initiative and in recognition of the financial strain the COVID-19 global pandemic is having on many Lycoming students and the impact those financial challenges will have on the College's operations, Art '59 and Joanne Haberberger have generously committed up to $100,000 in matching funds to encourage gifts to Lycoming that will address the most critical needs created by this unprecedented moment.
With a goal of raising $500,000 that Lycoming can use immediately to support students, donations made by individuals who have not made a gift to the College in the last year or more will be eligible for a 25 percent match. Gifts may be designated to any of the three priorities outlined below.
- The STUDENT RETENTION FUND provides critical resources to students performing well academically who are at risk of not completing their degree because of unforeseen financial hardships, such as unemployment, loss of income, significant changes in financial resources, and/or dramatic upheavals in family situations.
- SCHOLARSHIPS, including named annual scholarships, provide financial aid for both new and returning students, enabling them to pursue a potentially life-changing degree from Lycoming. These funds will be even more critical for the upcoming academic year.
- Unrestricted gifts to the LYCOMING FUND provide immediate support for the College to react to the areas of greatest need, including academic programs, technology for remote learning and instruction, financial aid, emergency student funds for food and housing, and more.
Your actions make a profound impact on Lycoming students in these critical moments. We realize this time might not be ideal, but when the time is right and if you are so inclined, we hope you will join us in advancing these priorities in support of our students. Together, we are Warrior Strong.
Make your gift.
Gifts must be designated to the Student Retention Fund, Scholarships, or the Lycoming Fund to be eligible for the matching funds. All gifts must be received June 30, 2021.
