Please note this event has been postponed and will be rescheduled for a later date.

The Institute for Management Studies at Lycoming College will present Joe Feerrar ’02 as its featured speaker for James W. Harding Executive Speaker Series. Feerrar will discuss his career path on Wednesday, Nov. 13, 7 p.m., Trogner Presentation Room in the Krapf Gateway Center.

In a talk entitled “How did I get here?” Feerrar, owner of Bald Birds Brewing Company, will offer an examination of his entrepreneurial pursuits, beginning with his days at Lycoming College, where he studied finance. He will address the role his alma mater has played in his success, as well as key watershed moments that have helped to shape his career path from financial planner to brewer and distiller.

Feerrar is CEO of Triple B Ventures, Bald Birds Brewing Company, and Four Birds Distilling Company. Prior to launching his entrepreneurial career by opening his first brewery in 2018, Feerrar spent 20 years in the financial services industry. The majority of his career was spent with TD Bank, where he held a number of increasingly strategic roles and departed as an executive. He held roles in branch, regional, and market management, overseeing hundreds of bank branch locations before moving on to roles in corporate strategy, commercial lending, product, marketing, call centers, regulatory, and retail distribution. When he left the bank to open Bald Birds in 2018, Feerrar was on the EVP track within TD Bank. Prior to TD, he held roles at Janney Montgomery Scott and Citigroup as a lender and a financial planner.

Outside of work, Feerrar served for many years as a volunteer with the Special Olympics organization, including sitting as vice chair and board chair for the Special Olympics South Carolina from 2011-2014, when he moved from South Carolina to Pennsylvania.

The presentation is sponsored by Lycoming College’s Institute for Management Studies. The James W. Harding Executive Speaker Series is named for James W. Harding, a 1938 graduate of Lycoming College and an executive with Kemper Insurance. As the result of a grant from the James S. Kemper Foundation to endow the series, students have the opportunity to meet and network with some of America's top business executives from numerous internationally recognized companies and firms.
